About me
My name is Krisztina Kornis, a chartered physical therapist.
At KK Physio I am offering Hungarian and English language guided physical therapy sessions in District 11, Budapest.
As a physical therapist and as an equestrian as well, I am committed to a precise, prudent, patient-centered work style. I believe in the importance of continuously expanding my professional knowledge.
Every new patient starts with a comprehensive full body assessment that includes taking a detailed patient history, examination of strength, joint range of motion, balance, coordination, posture, walking and other functional capacities. After assessment of the patient's condition, we set short, medium and long-term targets and prescribe personalized, adequate physical therapy sessions, as well.
I have participated several international study trips and training programs (Artevelde University College – Ghent, Medipol University – Istanbul, Emory University – Atlanta, Harvard University – Boston) and attended professional conferences (Hungarian Sports Medicine Society Congress in Budapest, Aspetar International Conference – The Complete Guide to the Athletic AC). Besides attending trainings and professional conferences, I also monitor the latest international research in order to provide up-to-date lectures to my students at Semmelweis University, where I graduated in 2015 (Bachelor's degree) and in 2023 (Masters degree) and where I am currently pursuing my doctoral studies.
As a dressage rider, based on published scientific evidences,
my own riding background and work experience, I have evolved a special exercise
and physical therapy based multi-level program for equestrian athletes to
prevent typical injuries, avoid the very common low back pain, correct posture
inaccuracy and to improve balance, coordination, sitting position and riding
technique.
